Privacy
This site collects very little, and only what you send it on purpose.
Who is responsible
Kammerwerk Technologies GmbH, Ebensee am Traunsee, Österreich (FN 686275 d, Landesgericht Wels), the company that makes Arietto. Its full details are in the imprint. Write to privacy@arietto.com about anything on this page. The person who answers is the person who wrote it.
Visiting the site
The pages are static files hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., who process requests on our behalf. Like every web server, theirs sees your IP address, the page asked for, the time and your browser's user agent, and keeps these briefly to deliver the page and to protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data in the United States; it is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and our agreement with it includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising, tag manager, session recording or embedded content from other platforms. The typefaces, images and screenshots are served from this domain.
Applying for the closed beta
The application form sends us your name, your email address, which kind of musician you are, what you write for, what you write music in today, which kind of Mac you have, whether you also want the newsletter, whether you would be open to being quoted after the beta, and the page you sent it from, which also tells us which language to answer in. We use it to choose who joins the beta and to write to you about it. The legal basis is taking steps, at your request, towards letting you take part (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The application is stored in a spreadsheet in our own Google Workspace, and a copy arrives in our mailbox. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process it on our behalf under Google's data processing terms, with Data Privacy Framework certification and Standard Contractual Clauses for any transfer to the United States. You get one email confirming that it arrived and, if you are chosen, one with your beta number and the download. If you send us a postal address for a postcard, we use it once to post the card and delete it afterwards. We delete applications twelve months after the beta ends, or sooner if you ask.
Being quoted on this site
Near the end of the beta we ask testers whether they would like to say something about Arietto for this website. If you agree, we keep your words, your name, what you do and where, a photo or a page of your music if you send one, and the date you approved the final text. Nothing is published before you have seen and approved the exact words. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we take the quote down. Quotes from the beta are marked as such on the site, together with the fact that every tester received a free licence.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address, where on the site and in which language you signed up, when you signed up and when you confirmed. You get one email first asking you to confirm, and nothing is sent until you do; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. What we send is news about Arietto: what has been built, when the beta opens, and when the program is ready to buy, including any offer at launch. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 174 TKG 2021).
Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe, and replying “unsubscribe” works too. Withdrawing your consent takes effect immediately and does not affect anything sent before. The list is kept in the same Google Workspace as the beta applications, and is never passed to anyone else. None of our emails contain tracking pixels or tracked links; the small drawing in them travels inside the email itself.
Writing to us
If you email us, we keep the message so we can answer it and remember the conversation later. Mail is handled by Google Workspace, as above. Writing in does not put anyone on a list.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, take a copy with you, and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to privacy@arietto.com. You can also complain to the Austrian data protection authority, the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
The program
Arietto itself has its own privacy notice, which comes with the beta build and says exactly what the program sends and when.
