The closed beta · this autumn · macOS
Be among the first
to write in Arietto.
The closed beta is small on purpose. Every application is read by the person who built the program, and you will hear back either way.

Four short questions. Name and email are required.

How the beta works
- Who it is for
- Professionals and amateurs alike. The group is put together so that every kind of music gets written: orchestra and band, choir, chamber music, piano, guitar, drums, jazz and teaching.
- What you get
- Arietto before anyone else, updates as they are built, and a direct line to the person who wrote it. Everyone who takes part and sends feedback gets a free licence for Arietto 1, the same licence people buy.
- What helps
- Use it for music you actually write. When something breaks or feels wrong, say so; one sentence is enough. Nothing is expected of you beyond that, and there is no obligation to buy.
- Your words, if you like
- Near the end I will ask whether you would like to say a few words about Arietto for this website, with your name and what you write. It is your choice, you approve the exact text, and your licence does not depend on it or on what you say.
- What you need
- A Mac with macOS 13 or later.
After the beta
Buy it once or subscribe.
Either way, it leaves you alone.
Version 1.0 is still ahead, so take this as a promise made in public: this is how Arietto will be sold.
A purchase is yours for good and includes a year of updates. After that, updating is up to you, and what you bought keeps working. A subscription, monthly or yearly, includes every update while it runs, and you can end it yourself at any time.
You activate once, online. After that there is no account and no log-in, and Arietto works offline. When it is online, it fetches a small signed licence list in the background and never waits for it. No launcher.
A purchase or a subscription covers a desktop and a laptop, because that is where real work happens.
New machine? Disconnect the old one yourself, on this site, and activate the new one. A minute before a deadline, not a support ticket.
If a licence check ever fails, or a subscription ends, Arietto still opens, prints and exports everything you wrote. Your music does not belong to the licence.
Support is email, it is free, and it is me.
And if Arietto turns out not to be for you, you write to me and you get your money back.
